Djimy Manzi Follows his goals. The opportunity he has had in the US to invest in supporting the national football team develop is at the heart of patriotism.
Djimy Manzi was born on 01/25/1981 in Rwanda and is a retired professional soccer player. He played for the Rwanda (Rwanda FC), Marine Football Club, The Saint Pierre Football Club (Ile de la reunion), RAS Santoise, and Royale Union saint-Gilloise.
In the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Djimy became an orphan with nowhere to go, but soccer was his refuge. In addition to soccer, he never gave up the dream of earning a Political science degree.
Even though his desire has always been to play soccer, he didn’t stop at the field. He went on to study Sports Leadership, Administration, Soccer Development, Soccer analysis, and Soccer scouting. Djimy’s aim is to support less privileged children in soccer and help them become professionals.
While in the USA, he played in the Rush Soccer (USL2) league. After his soccer career, he became head soccer coach of Gam United USA, Rush Soccer (USL2) Coach, FIFA Agent. In addition to soccer, Djimy became a notary consultant, the founder of Manzi Academy Rwanda and the founder of non-profit organization Soccer Training Academy in Denver, CO and Business Sport Management.
His goal is to help less privileged children reach their full potential in professional soccer and education.
He was able to get to this level of success because he was provided opportunities by great leaders. They love sports from His Excellence President Paul Kagame and others in general.
He is blessed to speak more than five languages because he has played in many countries. He can speak English, French, Swahili, Lingala, Creole, Italian, Dutch, etc.
Mr. Djimy’s recent certification in Soccer Management and Scouting is a major step forward in his mission to develop young football talent.
This achievement reflects his deep commitment to understanding the game beyond the pitch—focusing on player evaluation, team management, and talent identification.
